Lonely

Ok ya'll so one of my fav new artist is Mr. Antonio Dye str8 outta ATL. His new single Lonely is nice slow jam, that definately gets ya body movin. Ladies this is definately a drivin in ya car sing along jam. Its fresh out the box so you need to definately need to hit it up on youtube and listen. Lately I've been bumpin his music while im doing my homework (of course I get distracted) or while im doing so other things in my room. Its just "make you feel good music". oh and this must be said, you know how most male singers sound like they're in pain, and whine and whine and whine...yea Mr. Dye is far from that! I promise, he's 4real. I've heard him sing and he definately sounds oh so sweet lol even without music. Whats so wonderful is that his sound alone is refreshing...CUZ HE CAN ACUTALLY SING unlike some artist now that can carry a tune but cant really sing. so ya'll need to get up on Antonio Dye!! like right now

Oh yea the boy is oh so FLY!!!

Loc'd and Lovin' it

Im loc'ing my hair. On August 16th my hair became 2 yrs. old and its a big deal for me. I've been natural for most of my life. I've only had 2 perms in my life and both didnt work for me. I have always had corn rows for 17 yrs. and when I graduted high school I needed a hairstyle that I could maintain on my own because my mother did my hair which meant i didnt have to pay her. and I knew that going to college i would have to pay some one to do my hair. So the entire summer i went back and forth between locs and micro-braids rating the pros and cons of both. I did alot of research on locs. i read books, talked to my aunt and my cousin who both have locs, even talk to some of my mother's friends how have locs, and eventually i made the choice to loc my hair.

My mother overly excited about it because she always wanted me to loc my hair, and i always said no, but i'm glad i loc'd my hair when i did because I really appreciate my hair now, and even more. Locin' my hair has been on of the most rewarding and fulfilling things i have ever done. I find it to be so liberating and has sky-rocketed since getting my locs. and I wouldnt trade ithem for the world. It's on of those things that make you feel so empowered and extra sexy. and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY HAIR.

I have different hair styles that I like to play around with. Alot of the hair ideas i have come from different inspirations from Youtube or different natural hair sites. So hope you all enjoy.

Fierce Faith 21

For all those who don't know Forever 21 continues to promote their plus size line Faith 21. Unlike other plus size lines/stores, the clothes are definately affordale, and very much in style. However, their sizing could be a little bit more accurate but nevertheless, their clothes are fablous. This is definately a great start for a popular store like Forever 21. Its still somewhat frowned upon by some people, but hey as long as you're fierce no one can take that away from you.

adorable dresses...Love it!

fabulous shirts!

I actually have this cardigan in black & white and i love it

Faith 21 is only in select stores, so check the website to find a Faith 21 near you!

Things R "Rated R"

So Nov. 23rd last week Monday, was the release of diva Rihanna's new album Rated R. Now so folks think the whole album is about chris brown, but NOT! Rihanna has come a long way, especially vocally. She did her thing on Russian Roulette and showed everyone that she is back. She came with a follow up Wait your Turn And really made people think with this album, she gives the oppotunity to question and think beyond the lyrics and beat. The beauty of album, is she came with a could be club bangers and few ballads that u could just groove to on your own. Coming off a difficult year, shes accompanied by some popular favorites. Young Jeezy, Justin Timberlake, Will I Am and legendary guitarist Slash. Granted there are some songs like Fire Bomb or parts of songs that shine some light on the event of this past February, but i think it adds to the album. She has a fair balance, some songs that show her pain and how she feels, and other that show her moving on and empowering herslef as a young woman. G4L another good song from the ablum is that get females ready to band together against anyone who disrespects. But then songs like Cold Case Love just turns the mood around a lil bit. And even with the competition of Lady GaGa and queen B Beyonce, she really put in some work and came out with a bangin album.

Now i happen to be a big fan of Rihanna, so all the negativity surrounding her, I think is really un-called for. I personally don't think anyone ask to get a beat down. At least she's coming with something, and not trying to play the victim. Dont get me wrong I am still a fan of Chris Brown, I think his joint with Lil Wayne, is fire, and he's on his way back with some crazy sh*t so...

We, at New Era Cap co. have embarked on a mission to celebrate the history, enhance the legacy and reinforce school pride through fashion. While keeping the integrity and high standards with your support we can continue to carry the rich and proud, TRADITION!"
As said on the New Era Cap website promoting is venture in college clothing, to show pride and love for the HBCU that have, and continue to produce forward thinking leaders.
I dont attend a Historically Black College or University (or HBCU as they're known) but I think its pretty cool that there are many different clothing options that are available to represent various HBCU's. check the website

New Hobby

Lately, since the summer time I have been learning to crochet. It's very similar to knitting, but instead of using 2 needles, you use 1. It's not hard to do, but I must admit it took me sometimes to learn how to hold the needle and the yarn etc. but i kept with it, now I can make hats, scarves, earrings, hearts, and other things. I find it to be very calming and soothing, I mostly do it at night when after I done with classes and homework.

I learned everything I know from wathching youtube a user named tjw1963. she is fabulous. she even has a blog on here crochet-mania.blogspot.com check her out.

Thank You

Ok so first let me say thank you for visiting my blog. stay tuned for many updates, and different things about me.
